Better2Know also conducts Instant testing for six harmful infections, with results available while you wait in the clinic. Using simple blood and swab samples, we provide rapid results for HIV, Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. This popular testing option is available nationwide, giving you a conclusive picture of your sexual health status in under half an hour.
The Better2Know Everywhere service provides a fine alternative to our clinic service, allowing you to decide exactly where and when you would like to be tested. With this bespoke option, a qualified medical practitioner will visit you at a location of your preference, testing you swiftly and accurately for a wide variety of STIs. This can be a home, hotel, or business address, it is entirely your choice. If you are uncomfortable with the idea of a nurse coming to your home or place of work, you may instead decide to visit one of our specialised nurse stations. In either case, your samples are collected discreetly, before being sent to our certified laboratory for analysis.
Better2Know’s Home Testing is also available nationwide, including a variety of tests and screens which can be easily self-administered from the comfort and privacy of your own home. A prepaid envelope is included in the kit you receive, so all you need to do post your sample directly to our laboratory.
Receiving Your Results
Depending on the test or screen you select, your results will be ready within five working days of your sample’s arrival at our laboratory. Unless, of course, you have already received your results through our Instant testing service.
To access your results online, simply login to the secure patient area of our website. Additionally, a member of Better2Know’s sexual health advisory team will confirm your results by telephone call, email or SMS once they are all ready. If your test is reactive, Better2Know will conduct confirmatory testing at no additional charge. Depending on the STI you have tested positive for, we can provide a prescription for the treatment you require. Should you test positive for Chlamydia or Gonorrhoea following an Instant test, an immediate prescription will be administered. If necessary, we will also refer you to a specialist service.
